Looks like the snow is arriving as we are only a couple of weeks away from Christmas.

We will let you know as soon as the trails are ready for Cross Country Skiing.
Pioneer Flats should be good for sledding, tubing & snowboarding by this Thursday.
New for 2018 will be a Polar Plunge fundraiser to be held at Crosby Beach beginning at 12 Noon on Saturday, January 6th.
The Oil City YMCA is coordinating the event.
If interested in taking the "plunge" or being a sponsor, please call the Park Office or the Oil City YMCA.

Winterfest 2018 with the Venango County Fatherhood Initiative is scheduled for Saturday, January 27th with an alternate date of Saturday, February 3rd.
The Park's FREE "Learn-To-Ski Day" will run on the hour from 10 AM - 2 PM.
You must call the Park Office at: 814-676-6116 & sign-up for a time for ski lessons and to register the folks in your party.
Lunch will be available for a donation.
The Fatherhood Initiative events will be held at Pioneer Flats beginning around 10:30 AM.
These include a cardboard derby race, snowman building contest & sled riding, tubing & snowboarding.
Let's hope the weather cooperates for this event.
Rifle deer season is now over and no incidents were reported in the Park this year.

Park Office hours are now in place for the off season.
Monday-Saturday hours are 9 AM - 4:45 PM & Sunday hours are 10 AM - 3:45 PM.
Remember that reservations can be made up to one year in advance.
