LATE WINTER 2017
The winter season is still hanging on, but it will not be long before spring is here.
The lake is clear of ice and we are currently accepting reservations for camping in the Nature Lodge area for the first weekend of Trout Season which is April 14th & 15th.
This year's Annual Winterfest & FREE "Learn-To-Ski" Day were held on Saturday, Feb. 4th and once again were a big success.
The weather finally cooperated and the snow conditions were great.
The Venango County Fatherhood Initiative had over 60 folks at Pioneer Flats & 26 folks signed up for the Free Cross Country Ski lessons at the Nature Lodge.
Our ski instructors, Mike Henderson & Dan Moore did an excellent job as usual.
If weather conditions once again permit, we will let everyone know if the Cross Country Trails are groomed.
A new event is now scheduled for March 21st & 22nd at the Nature Lodge.
The PA Fish & Boat Commission will be conducting a "Boating Safety Course" from 6 PM - 10 PM on both days.
You must pre-register for the course.
Please call the Park Office for more information & to pre-register at: 814-676-6116.
